Trip to Thailand, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka in 2016

One of my favorite vacations was the trip trip to Thailand, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka for 16 days. Although, it wasn’t a vacation as I went with my colleagues on a team building trip and we used to work daily. Since we have a remote job, so we can work from anywhere in the world. In this article, I’ll share my experiences that I had in Thailand, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka.

The Beautiful Thailand

We travelled with Sri Lankan Air lines, and it first landed in Sri Lanka for a transition of 5 hours. Next, we flew to Bangkok. It was an early hot morning when we reached Bangkok, and we took a bus from Airport to Pattaya city. We stayed 1 night in Pattaya and came back to Bangkok the other day.

In Bangkok, we stayed 2 nights and visited the famous Temple of Dawn, Grand Palace, and MBK Mall. It is the capital of Thailand, and one of the largest cities in the world.

Islands of the World

Our next destination was Phuket. Though we didn’t plan for it, Phuket became the best place we visited during our trip. We stayed for 3 nights in Phuket. I did parasailing, deep sea snorkeling, underwater diving, bike ride, and more. We also visited the 7 islands that include Maya Bay, Phi Phi, Monkey, etc. Some of the famous Hollywood movies like ‘James Bond’ and ‘The Beach’ were shot at these islands.

Malaysia, It is!

From Phuket, we flew to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In our 4 nights stay in Kuala Lumpur, we checked-in to the famous Mega Mall, Berjaya Times Square, and Petronas Twin Towers. One day, we went to Batu Caves. It was an extremely beautiful place. In the same evening, we visited Genting Highlands with the world’s largest cable car ride. The experience was out of this world.

Adam’s Peak in Sri Lanka

Lastly, we had a 3 nights stay in Nallathania, Sri Lanka. We trekked to Adam’s Peak and witnessed one of the best sun rises in the world. We saw the tea plantation and took a short trip to the tea factory.

It was my first international trip, and I had time of my life. The experiences I had can never be forgotten. I suggest everyone to visit Thailand, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka for once in their lives.
